Lead Art Director

As a member of the creative team, the lead art director role will create compelling creative for a variety of projects (including TV, Digital content, web, mobile, video, and social media), working closely with the account and copywriter teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging.

The Lead Art Director should be able to develop creative high level, overarching concepts and strategies that are insightful, relevant, innovative, and effective for our Quaker Business (Quaker Hots, Quaker Chewy, Cap’n Crunch, Quaker RTE, Roni, Cheetos Mac ‘n Cheese, Chewy Bars, Pearl Milling Company, and Lite Snacks). They must be able to conceptualize ideas and carry them through execution.

• Comfortably vary design, style, and other characteristics demanded by our consumers and brands

 Responsibilities:

• Support the Creative Director with the development of concepts, strategies, and client presentations
• Manage and supervise multiple projects and teams (both internal and external)
• Create a range of concepts and designs for each project, partnering with copywriters to ensure the copy direction and visual presentation work together to make the concept powerful and compelling
• Meet brand objectives
• Ensure creative product adheres to best practices across media and platforms
• Initiate and complete campaign elements within the campaign process in a timely manner
• Ensures top-tier creative output that adheres to brand standards
• Lead brainstorm sessions
• Present work with clarity, strategic insight, and passion to internal agency team partners, brand team, and any other stakeholders for approvals
• Research and understand the client's needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings
• Mentors more junior team members with the growth of their skills and understanding of creative process
• Build and foster relationships with larger creative team, account teams and brand team members.

Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in art direction, design, or related discipline
• Minimum 3-6 years professional design experience with solid portfolio of work
• Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines
• Excellent organizational skill and multitasking ability
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs and Microsoft Office
• Social media or content marketing experience a plus
• Creative awards a plus

Compensation and Benefits:

• The expected compensation range for this position is between $81,000- $125,600 based on a full-time schedule
• Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
• Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out Annually.
• Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
