Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development Strategy:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand the MSP's market presence
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive positioning
- Identify target industries and segments that align with the MSP's capabilities and services
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Generate leads and actively pursue new business opportunities through various channels, including networking, cold-calling, attending industry events, and leveraging existing contacts
- Engage with potential clients to understand their contingent workforce management needs and pain points
- Present the MSP's services and value proposition, highlighting the benefits of partnering with the organization
- Proposal Development and Contract Negotiation:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, legal, and operations, to create compelling proposals and customized solutions for potential clients
- Assist with contract negotiations and ensure agreements align with the MSP's objectives and profitability targets
- Market Intelligence and Competitor Analysis:
- Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and changes in labor laws that may impact the contingent workforce management landscape
- Conduct competitive analysis to understand the strengths and weaknesses of competitors and differentiate the MSP's offerings accordingly
- Sales Performance and Reporting:
- Track and report sales performance metrics, including lead generation, pipeline development, and revenue growth
- Utilize sales tools and customer relationship management (CRM) software to manage and monitor the sales process effectively
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus
- Proven track record in business development or sales roles within the contingent workforce management (MSP/VMS, RPO, Direct Sourcing, etc.) industry or related fields. (Preferably 2 years of experience in MSP sales)
- Strong understanding of contingent workforce trends, MSP programs, and vendor management solutions
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate the MSP's value proposition effectively
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify business opportunities and address client needs
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events
