As part of a team that manage the processing of Accounts Payable and related financial transactions, this position requires a highly collaborative and results oriented professional to accurately manage the flow of Accounts Payable invoices. The successful candidate will be hands-on and skilled in managing and processing Accounts Payable transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Process AP transactions ensuring invoices are processed timely each billing cycle.
- Manage and track vendor invoices and related purchase orders.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
- Review all documents for accuracy and completeness, including proper documentation and approval prior to payment.
- Reconcile invoices, identify discrepancies and resolve billing issues.
- Participate in month end Accounts Payable closing process.
- Responsible for handling AP inquiries and following through to completion.
- Process Cost Transfers to reconcile accounting discrepancies.
- Participate in new system implementation projects.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Required:
- 3+ years of experience performing Accounts Payable processing.
- Overall understanding of the full AP cycle.
- Experience processing AP vouchers
- Proficiency with Excel
- Understanding of requirements for 1099 vendors and keeping track of vendors for year-end processing
Preferred:
- Deltek Costpoint experience.
- Experience with federal government regulations (FAR, JTR, GSA).
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work within a fast-paced team environment.
