Responsibilities
Expert Enterprise Architects provide strategic oversight and planning of the GEOINT Enterprise Data Lake as directed by CDA. They partner with key stakeholders to develop technical, strategic guidance for senior/mid- level architects in the creation and implementation approach of the Enterprise Data Lake.
Duties Include:
- Development of conceptual, logical and physical data architecture and technical roadmaps defining the time-phased schedule for the path of transition or transformation of systems and services to the future state data lake; and program, segment and project-based solution-level architectures consistent with the enterprise-level architecture
- Perform customer outreach and partner engagement to gather data lake functional requirements and develop requirements traceability matrix
- Assists Government in the development, maintenance, and documentation of the Data Lake, ensuring alignment to SOCs, the NGA Data Strategy and CONOPs
- Provides technical leadership enabling NGA to make informed, data-driven decisions and trade-offs between competing demands
Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related STEM degree program.
- A minimum of 18 years of experience as an Enterprise Architect or Data Architect may be considered in lieu of a Masters degree.
- A minimum of 18 years of working experience in government or industry in relevant work areas including: Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Data Architecture, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF), or Intelligence Community’s (IC) Program Architecture Guidance (PAG)
- Design, Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures such as Data Lake, large-scale data processing systems
- Develops architecture patterns for data pipeline engineering from disparate data sources
- Expert in technical collection, collection system development, requirements policy development and requirements management
- Develops integration of new data management and governance technologies (Collibra, Informatica DQ.) and software engineering tools into existing data ingestion.
Desired:
- Experience architecting solutions using Cloud Based Technology such as: Service Orientated Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured Service, Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- Experience architecting solutions using structured and unstructured Data.
- Experience architecting solutions using Automation, Augmentation and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
- Experience in tagging data to enable developing attribute-based cloud storage retention and ageing.
Target Salary Range
$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Salary : $146,000 - $234,000
