We have an immediate opening for an Mid-level Industrial Security Officer, here in our Arlington, VA office.
Candidates must have strong interpersonal skills to be able to communicate effectively and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, make decisions in the midst of ambiguity and meet deadlines. You will work closely with DHS Customer, Corporate FSO, Resource Management counterparts, and functional areas supporting DHS programs.
The candidate must have relevant experience in industrial security programs within the Intelligence Community and Department of Homeland Security. Strong working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), DHS security requirements, and National Industrial Security Programs (NISP). Significant knowledge and understanding of EOD personnel security processes, including security systems and tools. The successful candidate must be a self-starter that needs minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications:
- Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
- Must have served in the role as either a Contractor Program Security Officer; Program Security Officer; or Program Security Representative for a minimum of 4 years in a DoD or DHS environment
- Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain DHS EOD/SCI. US citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security subject matter expertise to program staff based on knowledge of government policies and company procedures in the following security disciplines: Physical, Personnel, OPESEC, Crisis Management, Contract/Subcontract Security to include DD254s and Security Classification Guidance
- Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings and provide security advice and support to the Program Managers, Functional staff, and other team members as required in the management of OU programs, proposals, and opportunities
- Perform all aspects of personnel security processing, including prescreening and staffing assistance
- Candidate must be able to interact closely with DHS Security in the processing of personnel for EOD
- Develop and implement procedures to satisfy company and Government contract performance, statements of work, task orders, proposals, and other requirements
- Maintain company and government databases as required in support of program security responsibilities
- Oversee the management of a SCIF
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external customers, to include other functional areas, as well as Government security officer reps
- Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive action to be taken
- Conduct security education classes and security audits
Colorado Salary Maximum:$142,937.60
