We have a compelling opportunity for a Microsoft Full Stack BI Developer in support of Treasury’s Technology Business Management (TBM) program.
Enterprise Technology Governance (ETG) is looking to add a MS Full Stack BI Developer with knowledge of Power BI Report Builder to support its new Technology Business Management (TBM) Power BI tool. This resource should be someone who takes initiative with little direction and is adept at problem solving and troubleshooting. The TBM tool be utilized for this effort is based in Power BI so all related skills are critical.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct data analysis to support all the ETG programs, including FITARA OCIO IT Acquisition Management. Sample activities can include analyzing IT acquisitions data and current and historical IT Spend.
- Build and maintain Treasury OCIO ETG Online Dashboards on the OCIO EDM Power BI platform, including but not limited to IT Acquisitions Dashboard.
- Build custom reports using Power BI, including those on Apptio SaaS TBM system which is Power BI based
- Support ETG Data Mart (i.e. data warehouse), such as developing and maintaining SQL scripts and SSIS/ETL packages, as needed
- Prepare detailed requirements documents including requirements matrix for activities related to supporting the ETG programs
- Develop business process and data diagrams flow diagrams and use cases to support functional specifications
- Involvement with data requirements gathering process
- Manages work necessary to design, implement, maintain, and/or modify any IT Spend data and reports to facilitate usage of the data to make business decisions
- Provides regular status updates on operational metrics, operational risks, and projects and activities, and develops recommended mitigation approaches
- Employ proactive and strategic approaches to design to cultivate synergies between standards, models and methodologies
- Enterprise Power BI dashboard development for dashboards hosted on an on-premises Power BI Dashboard Manager Website
- Assist ETG customer with using version control software such as GitLab or SVN
- Must be able to collaborate affectively with customers to develop clear and achievable Dashboard and Report requirements
- SSRS Report development or R and Python scripting experience is a plus
- Data ingestion via on-premises SSIS ETL processing performing development in Visual Studios SSDT
- Data storage via SQL Database Engine, utilizing T-SQL to create views and stored procedures
- Data modeling via SSAS Tabular Models, with an understand of both star and snowflake model schemas
- Conduct any necessary testing and validation requirements
- Troubleshoot dashboard and BI System issues and provide user support.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and work effectively with employees, subcontractors, and the Treasury staff in a diverse team environment
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years’ experience. Additional years of experience may be accepted in lieu of the degree
- Experience with Power BI Dashboard experience designing, developing, and implementing enterprise analytics solutions
- Experience with both SSRS development and R or Python languages is a plus
- Experience in Data Modeling using both start and snowflake model schemas
- An understanding of DAX to create model measures and calculated columns
- Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server databases (tables, views and stored procedures)
- Experience writing complex SQL queries, creating views, developing stored procedures, and tuning SQL in a Microsoft environment
- Experience working with and creating data architectures
- Experience in validating business requirements and translating them into technical design documents
- Familiarity with Azure platform services
- Previous experience with Apptio is a major plus
- Microsoft Power BI certification is a plus
- Understands Power BI data gateway and dataflow
- Experience developing dimensional data models and SSAS cubes on SQL Server DB
- Ability to identify trends and patterns in data and creating insights
- Experience administering SQL Server Databases
- Experience with business logic data validations
- Experience working with large datasets
- Familiarity with Data Science and R language
- Experience with C#, visual basic for scripting
- Familiarity with WSUS for automatic patching
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft PowerBI dashboards
- Ability to independently organize work, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple and changing priorities
- Must be available to provide scheduled and ad hoc evening and weekend support
- Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust designation security clearance
- Must be a US Citizen

- Federal government experience a plus

Colorado Salary Maximum: $128,600
The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position, and is just one component of Peraton's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Peraton provides a variety of benefits to employees.
