Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Principal Systems Test Engineer to work on the NIAGARAFILES (NiFi) operations team providing systems administration for NiFi Data Distribution Systems (DDS), system architecture, system testing and maintenance support in Annapolis Junction, MD. Provide feedback to design engineers and evaluates end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. Work as expert, conducts research and evaluates technical performance of software products and overall segments and systems. Ensure products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance and cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods. Verify and validate systems with specific emphasis on network operations and cyber warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures focused on the threat to information networks. Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Prepare assessments and cyber threat profiles of current and planned products based on sophisticated testing, research, and analysis. Participates in design reviews of components both hardware and software, to ensure applicability to the current system and traceability of requirements. Review test plans or procedures and ensures they verify and validate the requirements. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements. Produce high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 10 years of experience with planning, implementing, testing, documenting, and maintaining solutions for the integration and testing of custom developed and COTS/GOTS components, elements, subsystems or systems
- Experience with test automation tools including IBM Rational Robot, Mercury Interactive LoadRunner, QuickTest or Selenium
- Ability to communicate directions and provide guidance to senior testers
- Ability to synthesize customer contractual needs and requirements into system test solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule and cost constraints
- Ability to establish functional and technical specifications and standards solve hardware/software interface problems, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of the entire system or subsystem
- Ability to review, evaluate and derive requirements for testability, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures and schedules for complete systems and/or subsystems
- Ability to coordinate subsystem and/or system testing activities with programs and other organizations
- Ability to perform analysis of test results and prepare comprehensive subsystem and/or system level evaluation reports which verify and validate system performance
- Ability to write discrepancy reports and perform integration regression testing to verify/validate incorporated fixes to software, components, subsystems and systems
- Bachelors Degree and 18 years of expereince required or 22 years of expreince in lieu of a degree
- TS SCI clearance with polygraph required
