Responsibilities
Position Description:
- Serve as informational liaison between AQM and Office staff; assist Office Staff in support of Procurement requirements and activities.
- Coordinate and execute acquisition/contracting related policy, procedure, instruction and associated guidance.
- Meet with teammates who submit a purchase request to understand and articulate the scope and business case for each request.
- Review scope, requirements, justification and make recommendations to meet acceptance standards.
- Track and monitor new procurement requests and renewals to ensure continuity of services.
- Shepard the signature process for approved procurement requests.
Research and draft acquisition metric reports as requested by Procurement Government Team Lead
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications- To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience required. An additional 6 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
- Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance
- Familiarity with having sourced/purchased machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
- Working knowledge on compiling and analyzing statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
- Ability to confer with suppliers and analyzes suppliers operations to determine factors that affected prices and determined lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules. Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, follows up orders placed, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
Preferred Qualifications - Candidates with these preferred skills will be given preferential consideration:
- Industry standard DoD8570 baseline certification.
