Performance Excellence Partners is seeking Federal Staffing Specialists to join our team on a full-time basis to support an upcoming contract with the federal government. Staffing services will include drafting new vacancy announcements and recruitment actions, preparing job analyses, conducting qualification analysis, and assisting the agency with assessment questions for online vacancy announcements.

Example Duties: *

Draft new vacancy announcements, recommend modifications or edits to existing vacancy announcements, and all related data in the automated staffing system, post to USAJOBS and other job board sites as needed.

  • Conduct job analyses to ensure the draft vacancy announcements enable Government personnel to determine an applicant’s ability to satisfy vacancy requirements.
  • Draft recruitment actions and specify the duty statements such as qualification standards, KSAs/questionnaire, selective factors, weighting and screen-out elements.
  • Conduct qualification analyses and generate synopses of best- qualified job applicants.
  • Coordinate with HR specialists and subject matter experts to do job analyses and build questions for use in the automated staffing system.
  • Assist the agency in identifying and creating new position- specific assessment questions.
  • Draft recommended question types (i.e. multiple choice, true/false, short answer), recommend associate series grade, assigned weights and screen out questions.
  • Ensure all recommended interview questions comply with Office of Personnel Management, and agency policy and regulations.
  • Conduct research into federal government and agency regulations, policy and procedures to answer general questions from employees or applicants about staffing.

Requirements*

A bachelor's degree and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in performing federal staffing support services as a government employee or contractor.

  • Experience completing job analyses, drafting new vacancy announcements, working with USA Staffing and posting on USAJOBS.
  • Must hold an active DEU Certification
  • Proficiency with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards.
  • Proficient in the following Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively; both orally and in writing, with senior personnel.
  • Ability to work onsite in downtown Washington D.C. and remote as needed.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
