What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Biller/Tracer position at Performance Health and Wellness?
We are seeking a qualified and dedicated medical biller to join our chiropractic office. To succeed in this role, you must possess in-depth knowledge of billing software and medical insurance policies. The ideal candidate must also be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, as communicating with clients and various insurance agents will form a large part of the job.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies in a timely manner.
- Ensure the patient’s medical insurance information is accurate and up to date.
- Examine patient bills for accuracy and request/appeal denied claims.
- Maintain A/R and trace all over 60 day payments with insurance companies
- Post all cash payments
- Create and review monthly A/R and collection reports with Bookkeeper and Owner of practice.
Medical Biller Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a medical biller or similar role.
- Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records.
- Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
