Perimeter Behavioral of West Memphis has immediate opening for a FT and PRN Register Nurses. We are seeking nurses who are committed to promoting and restoring patients’ health. This position will be working with a variety of adolescent patients and will be providing direct patient care along with physical and psychological support when needed.
Perimeter of West Memphis is in Northwest Arkansas just across the Mississippi River from Memphis, TN in a quaint home that was built in 1939 and is a registered with the National Register of Historic Places. The programs Perimeter of West Memphis offers are designed to create an emotionally safe experience for our patients, families and staff be it in our acute care or residential treatment setting. We are seeking individuals who will make a daily commitment to improve our patients’ lives by using a patient centered collaborative approach to provide high quality care addressing both the mental health and physical wellbeing of our patients.
The Register Nurse’s responsibilities include the following:
· Identify patients’ care requirements, focus on their needs and act on them
· Nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
· Resolve or report on patients’ needs or problems
· Prepare patients for examinations and perform routine diagnostic checks (monitor pulse, blood pressure and temperature, provide drugs and injections etc)
· Monitor and record patient’s condition and document provided care services
· Treat medical emergencies
· Administer workloads
· Follow care regulations and standards
· Work within and cooperate with a multidisciplinary team
Qualified Register Nurse candidates should have the following:
· Has an active and valid RN License in the State of Arkansas or an eligible compact license
· Minimum of an associate degree in Nursing
· Prefer previous experience in behavioral health inpatient setting
· Able to nurture a compassionate environment by providing psychological support
