Shipper - 2nd Shift
The Shipper - 2nd Shift handles all aspects of the packaging and shipping of the wheelchairs. They retrieve spare parts and wheelchairs based on parts orders or chair orders, verify the quantity or type of items, and safely package them for shipment, while ensuring that quality standards are met. With supervision, they generate shipping labels, wipe down the chairs, and sort completed packages into the proper distribution area. Shipping Coordinators are also responsible for loading the boxed freight onto outgoing trucks.

Our Logistics department in New Berlin, WI is now looking for a Shipper - 2nd Shift.
Key Tasks

Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.

Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Builds stable working relationships internally.

Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.

Assist with receiving, stocking, processing, and distribution of materials.

Responsible for ensuring our product is shipped out and handled appropriately.
- Pull, pack, ship, and stock inventory components in such a manner that would prevent damage.

Rotate through various duties (Carousel, Picking, Shipping and Chair Shipping).

Operate hand tools and identify cross threading.

Prepare shipment for shipping using shrink wrapping and banding methods.

Plan and prioritize shipping requests so that all needs are met in a timely fashion.

Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.

Maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization.

Your Background
-
Knowledge of Warehouse safety procedures.

Ability to read, sort, check, count and verify numbers.

Six months or more of Shipping and /or Receiving experience.

Forklift and/or pallet jack experience, a plus.

High School diploma or GED.
- 0-2 years prior experience.
- Typically requires less that 0-3 years of related experience. Typically requires a general education, vocational training and/or on-the-job training.
