We are now recruiting a Team Leader - Warehouse.
The Kitting Lead will be responsible to coach, train, and monitor team members to ensure that each team member meets performance expectations; perform and/or demonstrate Production Worker job duties as needed. Oversee the picking process for customer orders, Kanban process, make adjustments within the MRP/ERP operating system, adjust inventory levels within Syspro operating system, write and/or revise work instructions for all processes.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Coordinate with leaders of other departments to ensure steady flow of materials across the production line
- Ensure that assigned production team meets production, quality, and safety standards.
- Assign team members to job tasks and coordinate workflow.
- Facilitate cooperation and teamwork of team members; motivate team members to perform their best work.
- Ensure that work product meets quality standards; conduct quality control checks of team member work product.
- Monitor and enforce team member compliance with policies and procedures.
- Identify and resolve Production Team inefficiencies.
- Maintain and facilitate communication between Production Team and Manager/Supervisor
- Keep area Supervisor and area Manager informed of production and personnel issues.
- Ensure prompt reporting of workplace accidents, injuries, and policy or procedure violations to area Manager.
- Provide recommendations to Manager for team member performance reviews; assist Manager with team member personnel issues.
- Recommend corrective action and/or discipline for team member performance and conduct issues.
- Prepare written documentation for production and personnel matters.
- Conduct visual inspection of work areas, production process, and work product.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and awareness of surroundings.
- Work as a team and maintain professionalism at all levels in the organization.
- Support all quality, safety, continuous improvement, and environmental programs.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; report to work on time.
- Works on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative. Understands implications of work and makes recommendations for solutions.
- Work with Supervisor and Manager to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
- Store approved material.
- Make inventory adjustments within the Syspro operating system. Adjusting the quantity on hand.

Qualifications:
- 4 years’ experience inventory experience, required.
- Proficiency in the English language (written and oral).
- Ability to write and train on work instructions.
- Strong leadership, communication, reading, counting, math, and computer skills.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and perform accurate work.
Level of Education or Experience in Lieu of:
- High School diploma or GED.
- 6-8 years prior experience
- Forklift certification a plus.

Physical Demands:
- Lifting and carrying 40 - 60 pounds.
