POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for the proper training of personnel on company systems, policies, and procedures. Possesses a thorough understanding of the company’s ERP systems, for both the inbound receiving and outbound shipment of orders. Ensures that he/she understands all necessary equipment and its functions. Responsible for training per the company’s Standard Operating Procedures within shipping, addressing any issues, and following up on trainings and corrective actions to ensure employees thoroughly understand their job processes and duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responsible for being proactive in ensuring their own knowledge and understanding of the company’s ERP/WMS. Creating Standard Operating Procedures on job duties and tasks within the ERP/WMS system Ensuring distribution personnel understand all equipment supported by the ERP system and what the functions of the equipment are Training distribution personnel on the necessary systems tasks required to complete the inbound, outbound and inventory distribution functions Proper training of distribution employees on ALL company Standard Operating Procedures for the distribution department, and ensuring employees have a firm understanding and grasp of the procedures Retraining for employees on job functions when corrective action has been written up by the employee’s manager Training on systems functions within all the company’s distribution facilities Spearheading new projects assigned by the company or department executives. Work in collaboration with department leaders seeking development/improvement opportunities to streamline existing procedures. Work with front line personnel environment throughout the Company/Department(s) locations to assess and improve existing procedures. Trouble shoot any/all WMS/ERP inquiries from front line and back-office personnel throughout the Parity Factory help desk. Develop Parity Factory/WMS reports where they would be useful for back-office personnel to use. Work in collaboration with Parity Factory consultants, engineers and internal IT department to develop new equipment and eliminate long process. Use lean six sigma for process elimination initiatives in collaboration with other departments. Support other DCs/RDC with personnel coverage
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Travel 15% ~ 20% or as required by the department
Analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to lead and manage personnel
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to learn and understand transportation software systems and technologies
Knowledge of all DOT, state, and federal requirements, policies, and procedures.
5 years of experience in compliance and/or safety certifications and training
Participate in various workshops and educational programs to maintain knowledge on all industry regulations and rules.
Knowledge of the Spanish language a benefit
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Bend, twist, stoop and lift on a continuous and repetitive basis.
Lift up to 70 pounds overhead on a regular basis without mechanical assistance.
Push/Pull up to 70 pounds frequently without mechanical assistance.
Bend to 90-degree angle in order to perform warehouse maintenance.
Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods of time.
Withstand instant temperature changes and various surroundings: 45-degrees or below.
Visual acuity to read paperwork.
Usage of both feet for repetitive motions.
Usage of both hands for repetitive actions such as: simple/firm grasping.
Operate a manual and electrical hand jack in a safe and efficient manner.
Operate machinery for long periods of time.
Hear oncoming traffic in all areas of the warehouse
