HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR(PD 10)
- Position Location: Yuma, AZ
- Position Pay: $20.00-25.00 ($80 a day per day worked 50 miles outside of Yuma)
- Position Type: Construction
- Work Hours: M-F 7:00 AM -5:30 PM | Saturday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM(subject to change)
Job Description:
Heavy equipment operators will be responsible for operating various types of equipment in a safe and effective manner.
The ideal candidate for this position must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience operating Excavators.
Heavy Equipment Operator Job Duties:
- Operate and maneuver heavy equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Perform routine inspections on equipment
- Always observe safety codes while operating equipment
- Inspect equipment before operating to ensure it's in working order
- Monitor performance and adjust settings
- Fill out performance records to report equipment issues
- Track maintenance, and alert supervisors when maintenance is due
- Other duties as requested by supervisors
Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to operating heavy equipment
- Must be able to work overtime.
- Must be able to work Saturdays.
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain stationary in seats while operating equipment for prolonged periods
- Basic writing skills to accurately complete reports, logs, etc.
