Health System Network Administrator

POSITION SUMMARY:

Will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the Health System’s computer networks. The Network Administrator will be in charge of overseeing digital security and performing maintenance to ensure that the system is operating at full capacity. The Network Administrator will also be tasked with installing hardware and software when necessary.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade networks and in house servers
• Install and integrate new hardware and software
• Make upgrades and repairs as needed
• Oversee network security and connectivity
• Perform maintenance that all systems are operating
• Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses
• Onboard users to the network
• Troubleshoot problems with the system
• Define network policies and procedures
• Specify system requirements and design solutions
• Research and make recommendations on server system administration
• All other duties as assigned

Requirements

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

Applicants can have a combination of: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience, or Associate degree and 5 years of experience or 10 years of experience.

Thorough knowledge of computer systems and IT components as it relates to networks; working knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles is required.
