About the Role:
Our client is seeking a kind and compassionate individual to join its team as the Director of Intake. Successful candidates will oversee all aspects of day-to-day intake operations and shall be responsible for working closely with patients and families. Candidates should have a robust ability to communicate with others and shall be expected to represent the organization with the utmost professionalism and courtesy.
Essential Skills & Experience
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is highly desirable
- Minimum of six (6) years of healthcare experience
- Prior experience working with Medicaid payors
- Robust knowledge of HIPAA regulations and guidelines
Desired Skills:
- Impeccable oral and written communication skills
- Ability to accurately assess the needs of patients
- Working knowledge of the insurance authorization submission process
- Demonstrated ability to uphold the mission and values of the organization
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a strong ability to build rapport with others
Role Responsibilities:
- Successfully oversee all day-to-day intake initiatives and uphold the highest standards of patient satisfaction.
- Work in tandem with patients and their families to complete the intake process.
- Conduct robust patient-family interviews to determine the appropriate level of care.
- Accurately explain all services offered by the organization to patients and their families and courteously address all questions and/or concerns.
- Ensure all required documentation and/or authorizations are obtained in a timely manner.
- Serve as a patient advocate and contact insurance payors on behalf of the patient as required.
- Complete and file all required paperwork with the utmost confidentiality.
- Other duties as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
