Optician

We are looking for a superstar receptionist & spectacle frame stylist (optician) to join our team! At least 6 months of experience in fitting, styling, and dispensing eyewear is preferred – the right person will be eager to learn on the job and adapt along the way.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Greet customers and create a positive, welcoming environment
• Provide a high level experience above and beyond patient/ customer expectations
• Calendar management and scheduling of appointments
• Coordinate communications with patients and manage referrals
• Maintain and update patient records and perform other clerical tasks in a timely manner
• Determine insurance eligibility and benefit coverage with knowledge of medical deductibles, copays, and more
• Maintain organization and tidiness of the equipment and workspace
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, leadership team and suppliers
• Help patients style high end frames, as well as adjust/ fit them to patient's faces and take accurate and appropriate measurements
• Have knowledge about eyeglass and contact lens prescriptions; and how to order
• Be very versatile for private practice - there's a little bit of work on many aspects of the office

The position is part-time to start with the opportunity to go full-time. The days/ hours are open/ flexible. No Saturdays. No Sundays. No Holidays.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
