We are searching for a Receptionist/Client Care Coordinator for our busy veterinary practice to complement our existing team of wonderful employees. Our pay for skills program has a starting hourly compensation rate- dependent on skill level. As you master your skills at your own pace, the hourly rate increases up to $17.00/ hour. This position includes:
Providing compassionate care with a friendly, professional demeanor
Building relationships with clients and their pets
Answering and directing client questions
Managing a multi-line phone system
Checking clients in/out (accepting payments, entering invoices)
Scheduling and confirming appointments
Maintaining and set up of patient files
This position is one of the most important in the practice, as the front desk team is the first and last impression clients have with our veterinary practice. The ideal applicant will be friendly, outgoing, empathetic to client and patient needs, a multi-tasker, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced (and sometimes stressful) environment.
Our hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm, and Saturday 9am to 5pm. Applicants must be able to rotate through opening and closing shifts, and work 1 to 2 Saturday shifts per month. Typical shifts are 4 10's (7a-6p, 8a-6p or 9a-730p). We can be flexible with your schedule.
We are looking for 1 Full-Time (40 hours) employee. Benefits (after successful training period) include paid time off, generous pet care and services discounts, health/dental insurance, continuing education allowance, uniforms, and more.
Requirements: Ability to lift up to 40# unassisted, able to follow verbal and written instructions, ability to repeatedly reach/stoop/bend, ability to spend long periods of time standing or sitting. Steady employment history is required.
*1 year veterinary and/or reception (medical, dental, chiropractic, legal, or hospitality) experience is required. Applicants who haven't demonstrated a steady job history will not be considered
*Moderate computer, writing, spelling and math skills are required.
*High ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment is required.
*Spanish speaking a plus but not required.
*Working in a team environment, willing to help your co-workers in a friendly manner is required!
