Position Purpose
The Product Marketing Manager will lead, manage, develop, and execute strategic marketing initiatives that will position Petco Love’s technology products, most immediately Petco Love Lost – the largest national database of lost and found pets, as the leading solutions to help pet parents create the best lives for their pets and support Petco Love’s non-profit mission to drive positive change for animals.
Essential Job Functions: The incumbent must be able to perform all of the following duties and responsibilities with or without a reasonable accommodation.
MARKETING STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT: Develop marketing strategies for Petco Love’s direct to consumer programs and technology products based on business goals, objectives, and key customer insights. Develop product marketing roadmap, defining metrics, positioning, messaging, and creative deliverables that effectively resonate in market.
MARKETING PLANNING AND EXECUTION: Create, manage, and execute on cross-channel go to market plans to deliver on the strategy, partnering with marketing channel owners, external vendors, and cross-functional innovation team to march toward common growth goals.
USER CHAMPION: Conduct and analyze market and user research to identify and effectively communicate insights, ensuring cross-functional innovation stakeholders have a pulse on the current and future needs of key users and segments. Translate insights into actionable marketing strategies that support consumer awareness and consideration.
CREATIVE OVERSIGHT: Articulate creative deliverables to support product marketing plans and ensure alignment with defined brand and product marketing strategy. Provide timely, thoughtful, and actionable feedback that inspires great work.
MEASUREMENT: Monitor campaign performance, report on key findings, and adjust plans accordingly to maximize new user acquisition. Leverage data to inform future initiatives.
INNOVATION: Identify new opportunities for marketing innovation and growth through the use of customer insights, market research and competitive intelligence.
BRAND VOICE: Ensure that Marketing communications and programs are consistent with Petco Love’s brand identity and voice.
Skills and Experience:
5 years product marketing experience, preferably with focus on DTC technology products and services.
Communication: You’re eloquent with the written and spoken word and you’re able to effectively communicate complex insights and strategies clearly and confidently across the organization as well as translate into effective and compelling marketing copy.
Digital Marketing: You have a solid understanding of digital and performance marketing and are able to successfully manage both organic and paid marketing channels and strategies.
Data-Driven: You leverage and depend on data to validate hypotheses and emphasize analytics and insights in your discovery and decision making. You are familiar with and deeply depend on A/B testing and continuous optimization to refine and improve marketing outcomes.
Curiosity: You have a relentless passion for understanding the customer and the market as a whole. You ask questions and seek answers that further a deep and intimate understanding of our target’s expectations, needs, and wants now and support accurate forecasting for the future.
Planning and problem solving: You’re strategic, organized, and always thinking several steps ahead, anticipating and solving for roadblocks before and as they arise. You make logical and rational decisions and arrive at sound conclusions.

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
$101,900.00 - $152,800.00/ year
