Primary Responsibilities
- Perform outreach with key stakeholder groups to include alignment with Career & Technical Education (CTE) & college-readiness
- Research, implement and administer curriculum-based activities/programs (to include workforce and durable skills development) for participants
- Provide support and resources for teaching staff
- Facilitate in-person learning opportunities for program participants which can be in collaboration with other subject-matter deemed service providers
- Assess participant needs and develop individualized plans outlining employment, entrepreneurial and/or personal goals, and other post-academic plans towards independence with student-voice
- Provide ongoing educational assessment and periodic evaluation of planned goals and accomplishments for each participant
- In conjunction with the Data & Impact Manager, maintain a variety of reports for internal and external reporting purposes
- Apply an understanding of the Virginia Department of Education’s (VDOE) Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) to implement and manage a comprehensive student tutoring program
- Bachelor’s degree in education (preferred) or equivalent work experience in youth development (minimum 2 years)
- Knowledgeable of CTE, mental health, and trauma informed care (required)
- Experience in program development to include planning, leading, and managing projects, coordinating with multiple stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes, and tracking and reporting on progress (required)
- Strong interpersonal communications and mediating skills
- Sensitivity to issues around equity, diversity & inclusion, and relationship building
- Capacity to maintain integrity and confidentiality of program outcomes & participant information
- Work collaboratively with the Director of Education and Family & Community Engagement Manager on programming and curriculum for students
- Understanding of and familiarity working in an urban setting
