What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at PFES?
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- In addition to creating the schedules, this time, the scheduler will be responsible for updating the schedules with minimal reliance on the PM’s to provide that data
- With minimal supervision, create integrated master schedules using information from in house stakeholders, and contractor supplied schedules in P6
- Coordinating the responsible party’s work throughout engineering and regulatory phase.
- Monitor key milestones and deliverables.
- Evaluate schedule progress and trends and provide improvement recommendations to Project Management team.
- Review and approve contractor baselines and schedule updates.
- Update schedules weekly, perform analysis, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
- Facilitate periodic schedule meetings when requested by the Project Manager.
- Evaluate and report on the Schedule Performance Index (SPI), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and project Earned Value (EV).
- Investigate all deviations from established cost and schedule baselines, apprise and make recommendations to management concerning corrective actions or workarounds required to meet project objectives.
- Maintain the project’s schedule and cost change logs. Facilitate the timely processing and implementations.
- Maintain the project variance log.
- Understand the project and contractor scope and evaluate the submitted contractor’s schedule, cost and progress cost information.
- Work with field engineers and periodically visit project sites to verify progress reported by contractors.

- SAP Experience
REQUIREMENTS
- Prior experience in the integration of multiple contractor schedules. Including best practices on the import and export of the contractor provided schedules.
- Have prior Experience in schedule-based claim analysis.
- Have prior experience in change order management.
- Hands-on detailed scheduling experience with Oracle Primavera P6
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrate the ability to implementation best practices in schedule and cost management.
- Ensure timely and collaborative communication with client, including formal reporting and informal influencing.
