FLSA Classification:  Exempt - Salaried

Position Summary:

Advancia Government Services is seeking a qualified Operations Manager who will provide daily operational oversight and management of employees, contracts, budgets and schedules. Responsibilities of the Operations Manager is to provide project services and employee management on various contracts while employing best business practices and assists with planning, budgeting, business development and management of a profitable project portfolio. The Operations Manager will ensure the efficient, safe, and profitable operations of office and field staff and is able to complete job duties with minimal guidance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

         Supervises Program/ Project Managers and other direct report employees in the execution of contract functions working closely with the team leads to ensure all operational, administrative, budgetary and compliance functions are being properly executed in accordance with contract requirements and business best practices.

         Assist with business development tasks such as marketing and establishing new relations with current and future clients, working in salesforce, performing capture tasks, identifying opportunities, etc.

         Assist in the development and implementation of company process initiatives.

         Raises and tracks potential or identified risks or issues and conflicts, remove barriers, and resolve issues of medium complexity involving stakeholders and escalates to appropriate level when required.

         Provide back-office support for recruiting, hiring, onboarding, internal training, timesheet approvals, etc.

         Ensure contract and project reports are complete and provide monthly metrics for trend analysis and contract performance analysis.

         Attend weekly management team meetings and other management personnel from various departments, either virtual or in person meetings as required in support of contract and company needs.

         Represent the company in contract matters with clients as well as commercial corporate clients and monitor overall customer satisfaction.

         Monitors submission of deliverables for management briefings, monthly and annual contract reports.  

         Executes corporate activities as may be warranted and /or directed by the General Manager.

         Represent the company at contract related meetings and conferences incident to assigned functions and any other meetings/conferences as directed by the General Manager.

         Act as corporate representative in coordination with the General Manager, Finance, Pricing, and Contracts of sub-contracts with independent contractors as well as any other contract activities as may be directed by the General Manager.

         Perform assigned duties within the limits established by Federal, State, and local regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Supplement to Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), and Company policies and procedures.

         Create and maintain a positive corporate image and provides suggestions for process improvements.

         Assist with the Quality Management System (QMS) requirements to include submitting customer feedback and evaluations forms to the Quality Control Manager.

         Ensure General Manager is provided up -to-date information on contract performance on a weekly basis.

         Other duties as assigned to include, but not limited to; assist with light housekeeping of the office and grounds if needed, petty cash oversight, checking mailbox, etc.

Education & Experience Requirements:

EDUCATION:

         Bachelor’s degree (Business Management or another related field preferred)

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

         Ability to obtain a Security Clearance.

         Minimum of five (5)-years project management experience (in the federal market a plus).

         Knowledge/Familiarization with federal contracting.

         Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook/Teams).

         Ability to quickly learn tasks and execute tasks independently.

         Able to organize, prioritize, multitask, and effectively communicate.

         Ability to address operational concerns in a timely manner and monitor overall customer satisfaction.

         Good decision-making skills and response to high pressure situations and deadlines.

Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands

         Must have a valid driver license and ability to travel outside of the office independently.

         Work is performed in an office setting with ability to speak and receive phone communications often.

         Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment.

         Moderate travel required to contract locations, subsidiary offices and other locations as needed.

         Selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.

         Selected candidate is subject to background check.
