Position Summary:
Potawatomi Training, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified candidate who creates engaging and effective customized interactive learning products, using sound Instructional Design principles and adult learning methodologies. These products include scripts, storyboards, and interactive multimedia instruction in support of resident training, remote/virtual learning environments, and blended learning. Reviews engaging interactive methods for best fit with learning objectives, time available, and technology-use cases. Maintains currency on changes in educational research and emerging evidence-based trends in education, relevant to online education and training conducted by the Intelligence Center of Excellence. Ensures document logic, accuracy, appropriate tone for audience and language consistency. Creates detailed content outlines, create learning scenarios. Designs effective interactive learning activities that accomplish learning objectives. Coordinates with project managers and subject matter experts to ensure that final products achieve the intended learning and training objectives. Reports to the Rapid Developer Lead. Only occasionally directed in some aspects of the work. Typically requires 4-6 years of experience with at least 12 semester college credits in the field of education. In addition to the responsibilities performed by the Rapid Developer, the Rapid Developer Lead ensures interactive product deliverables adhere to ICoE, TRADOC, DOD, and industry standards for formatting and the educational soundness of products. Maintains standardized product formats for all the interactive product types the rapid production teams provides in support of course and lesson revisions. Manages the onboarding of Rapid Developers to including providing normalization training to ensure Rapid Developer produce products commiserate with government requirements and regulatory standards. Ensures Rapid Developers maintain awareness of trends in online education. Manages Rapid Developer allocation to available projects. Reports to the Project Coordinator. Only occasionally directed in some aspects of the work. Typically requires 6-8 years of experience in training and education, with at least 24 semester college credits in the field of education.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Extensive working knowledge of MS Office Suite applications and Adobe applications for publication editing; example Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Education & Experience Requirements:
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor's Degree
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum six (6) years' experience in education, training, or as an educator in a certified teaching discipline. Experience preference towards addressing the educational needs of adults for distance/distributed learning. Experience with designing learning programs, activities, and curriculum that use technology to enhance learning.
• Experience must include a minimum of 2 years developing learning programs using industry recognized distributed learning authoring tools; examples include Adobe Captivate and Articulate Storyline.
• Education must include at least 24 semester credits focused on educational research, learning theory, education technology, instructional design or other related education themed courses. Courses focusing on the administration or fiscal requirements of education related organizations do not count towards the credit requirement.
CERTIFICATION / COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Able to develop interactive multimedia applications up to level 2.
CLEARANCE:
• Interim Secret to start, must be able to receive and maintain a TS/SCI within first year.
Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands:
• Some walking and standing required. You may have to lift and carry equipment (i.e. books, tools) weighing approximately 10-15 pounds.
• Most of the work is performed in-doors
• Work in the occupation involves making repetitive motions more than 1/3 of the time
• Requires standing for periodically
• Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel and bend
