Assistant Golf Professional
Salary : $36,000.00 - $45,000.00 Per Year
- The Assistant Golf Professional will assist the Head Golf Professional / Director of Golf with managing all aspects of golf operations including day-to-day play and tournaments.
- Assists in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales, merchandise sales, and member / guest billing.
Coordinates with Accounting Departments all policy and procedure revisions, updates, and implementation.
- Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests.
- Follows directives and completes assignments with a minimum of supervision.
- Promotes all club golf activities.
- Assists in the creation of lesson plans and provides both individual and group instruction.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop. Assists retail buyers with procurement and merchandise and shop assistants with merchandising and sales.
- Develop and follow opening and closing procedures.
- Assists with associate training.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
- Applicant must be willing to work most weekends and holidays.
Experience Required
- High School Diploma
- Established playing ability preferred.
- Experience in playing and competing in Golf Tournaments at the High School or Collegiate level preferred.
- Prior experience in golf operations preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of golfing rules and regulations. Knowledge and
understanding of typical golf course procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Golf Genius tournament software.
