Overview
Blessings Golf Club is seeking applicants for our Golf Operations Internship program for the 2025 season. All levels of student will be considered, but Level 2 and 3 students are preferred.
The club is looking to fill roles for the Spring / Summer and Summer / Fall cycles.
Blessings Golf Club is a premier golf club located in Johnson, Arkansas. Blessings was developed with the vision of being a club of comfort for members and their guests and a place to escape the demands of the workplace.
The heart of the Club is an environment designed to promote a welcoming atmosphere to enjoy time with family and friends, complimented by great golf.
The Club offers an award-winning clubhouse and pool, state of the art fitness center, and an expansive practice area that includes six indoor hitting bays and an unparalleled indoor short game practice facility.
The extremely challenging course was originally created by Robert Trent Jones, II, with a redesign recently completed by noted architect Kyle Phillips.
The course is currently ranked #144 in the United States.
Facilities also include offices for the University of Arkansas Golf Coaches and dedicated locker rooms for the teams. Blessings Golf Club hosts events such as the annual Blessings Collegiate Invitational, AJGA Stacy Lewis Invitational, and other prestigious championships.
Past events include the 2019 Men’s and Women’s NCAA Championships and 2020 Southern Junior Amateur.
Experience Required
- Currently enrolled in a PGA Golf Management University Program, must be in good standing with both the PGA of America and the University.
- Level 2 and 3 students preferred, but will consider Level 1 students if they are the right fit for our operation
- Previous experience in the private sector preferred, but by no means mandatory
Essential Responsibilities
- Assists the Professional Staff with essential daily operations
- Will serve a prominent role in a rapidly growing junior golf program
- Students with us for summer / fall cycles will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of the Blessings Collegiate Invitational.
- Performs opening and closing duties of Outside Staff & Golf Professional Staff.
- Assists in the setup and execution of golf tournaments and outings.
- Assists in educating players regarding course policy, current cart policy, speed of play and so forth.
- Maintains accurate records of the tee sheet and golf shop sales.
- Assists in administering all point of sales application revisions and needs as it applies to green fee sales and merchandise sales.
- Reconciles daily tee sheets, performs check-in, and receives payments from members and guests.
- Promotes all club golf activities.
- Maintains a clean, orderly, and well-stocked golf shop.
- Assists with associate training.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
