What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scheduler position at PGH Wong Engineering, Inc.?
PGH Wong Engineering, Inc. has a proud and lengthy history of delivering innovative, challenging, and complex projects. PGH Wong was established in 1985 on its extraordinary foundation in systems engineering and is now a full-service engineering, architecture, construction management, and program/project management consulting firm for public and private entities across the nation.
This position will be temporarily remote/hybrid near term than working out of the Livermore, CA and San Francisco, CA office as needed long term.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and update design, procurement, and construction schedules for numerous procurement and construction contracts
- Gather data and prepare design and/or construction schedule progress reports
- Develop project milestones and process tracking baselines
- Track change orders and contract amendments
- Assess schedule impacts, including change orders and/or foreseen conditions, to the overall schedule float and the critical path
- Maintain critical path analysis and reporting deviations against the master construction schedule
- Develop master schedules for multiple multi-disciplinary construction contracts
- Develop and maintain project as-built schedule
- Support reviews of Time Impact Analyses
Qualifications and Experience
- 15 years of scheduling experience
- Strong construction background
- Understanding construction means and methods
- Transit experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is preferred.
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of the CPM Schedules from the development of Master Schedules, Baseline Schedules to Monthly Updates
- Experience with software packages including Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work in a cooperative team environment, with a significant client interface
