Primary 65%
Serve as a primary point of contact for and liaison with Sales, Customer Care, Logistics, Manufacturing, and Purchasing.
Collaborate with the same departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to ensure support of metrics.
Compares current and forecasted demand with available capacity; uses judgment to anticipate and alert of any foreseeable constraints.
Maintain master production schedule for assigned facilities; revises as needed and alert appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
Provide direction, training, and support to the production scheduling team.
Secondary 20%
Lead departmental meetings ensuring that performance and metrics are achieved.
Monitors department email ensuring that accurate and timely responses are provided.
Monitor and actively pursue continuous improvement based on experience and research.
Support scheduling team when resolving issues of rush request, order changes, and other
scheduling disruptions.
Other 15%
Assist scheduling team in breaking down internal and external constraints.
Reports on key metrics as defined by departmental targets and goals.
Compiles system generated reports as defined by departmental procedures and objectives.
Analyzes options for continuing production when encountering unplanned disruptions.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide both positive and corrective feedback to team members.
Coordinate and ensure staffing coverage.
Training of team members.
Process verification ensuring that company and departmental goals are being met.
Manage day to day operations within the scheduling department.
