PharmaCord is seeking an exceptional Pharmacy Operations Team Lead who will provide in-depth knowledge of our client programs in a high-volume pharmacy environment by working directly with consumers, patients, healthcare providers, and client partners to achieve successful pharmacy operations. The Pharmacy Operations Team Lead is expected to be patient focused and committed to providing the highest quality customer service all while maintaining a sense of compliance and commitment to company policies and procedures.
A typical day in the life of a Pharmacy Operations Team Lead will include the following:
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist the Pharmacy Operations Manager to monitor daily activities of the pharmacy technicians so that they reflect a priority on the delivery of pharmaceutical products
- Supervise delivery staff and outside couriers as needed
- Maintains the pharmacy work area and receiving/shipping area in a professional and safe manner
- Assists with product purchasing, inventory and equipment management
- Observes legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of patient and proprietary PharmaCord information
- Adhere to appropriate safety and quality assurance practices
- Complies with state and federal laws up to and including OSHA, HIPAA, etc.
- Assist external and internal callers by actively listening to each caller, assess the situational needs, and respond with patience and courtesy
- Review and identification of information that is missing and/or incorrect within program service requests/program applications
- Provides timely feedback to the company regarding service failures or customer concerns
- Communicate with internal account contacts. Provide consultative services where issues arise on how obstacles can be overcome to ensure timely shipments
- Assist with team hiring, development and training
- Ensures daily program staffing levels are consistent with daily program needs
- Assist with team training to ensure proficiency in their roles
- Provides consistent, timely coaching and development for direct reports for a functional area

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience supervising pharmacy and/or delivery operations preferred
- 2 – 5 years of experience in the health care industry required
- Possess Current KY Pharmacy Tech Registration
- Previous personnel/team management experience is strongly preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Retail, hospital or high-volume/mail-order pharmacy experience preferred
- National Pharmacy Tech Certification or the ability to obtain Certification within 90 days of hire (PTCB Certification preferred at time of application)
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred
- All employees working onsite in a PharmaCord facility are required to be vaccinated against COVID-19
Physician Demands & Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, use hands to type, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to type 35 WPM with 97% accuracy.
- Although very minimal, flexibility to travel as needed is preferred.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
