Pay Rate is $21.15 to $25.15 per hour Temp to Possible Permanent MUST be Fully Vaccinated

MUST Have Biological Specimen Handling Experience and / or Laboratory Setting Experience
Top NYC Hospital is looking for an experienced biological specimen handler and / or laboratory setting professional to join its growing organization as a Laboratory Assistant / Correlative Logistics Specialist on a Temporary to Possible Permanent basis.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in the Correlative Sciences Program ensuring accurate tissue sample collection, processing, and shipment to laboratories both within and outside of the organization.
Incredible organization where you feel as though you are "giving back . Role is working on-site on Manhattan's Upper East Side between Two (2) locations with easy access to public transportation.
MUST be COVID and Flu Vaccinated. Hours are Mon-Fri; 10am-6pm and / or 11am-7pm (7.5-hrs Daily); Full-time (3.75-hrs) Weekly.

Requirements & Skills
High School Diploma or GED required
Three Plus (3 ) years of Biological Specimen Handling experience or Laboratory Setting experience
Computer proficiency with MS Office Suite
Effective communicator, capable of strategizing how to connect with different audiences and craft communications based on that understanding
Adept at planning and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment to meet commitments with a keen eye for detail
Intellectually curious and eager to seek new opportunities and tough challenges with vitality, high energy, and passion
Responsibilities & Duties
In adherence to patient visit schedules and protocol requirements, build collection kits following protocol / lab manual and deliver kit to collection location
Facilitate efficient transfer of samples and patient care between organization facilities
Following protocol and laboratory manuals, processes specimen shipments in accordance to IATA guidelines
Use specimen supervising software to confirm daily shipment orders and supervises all outgoing shipments in digital databases
Catalog / inventory all samples processed at outpatient sites and enter sample collection data into digital inventory
Crafts and maintains an environment that places emphasis on laboratory safety. Works with coworkers and management to accurate any condition that has the potential to have a negative impact on accurate laboratory safety
