We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Underwriter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for underwriting new lending facilities, primarily for middle-market companies. This role involves evaluating and structuring various C&I loan types, including lines of credit, secured facilities (formula-based receivables, inventory financing, non-formula), and cash flow facilities, as well as owner-occupied term loans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and risk assessment of potential middle-market borrowers.
- Underwrite various C&I loan structures, including lines of credit, secured facilities (formula-based receivables, inventory financing, non-formula), and cash flow facilities.
- Structure and evaluate owner-occupied term loans.
- Analyze financial statements, cash flows, collateral, and other relevant data to assess the creditworthiness of potential borrowers.
- Determine appropriate risk ratings and pricing for each loan facility.
- Specialize in lending to companies in the Consumer Product, Food & Beverage, and other targeted growth sectors.
- Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions that may impact credit risk.
- Work closely with relationship managers, credit officers, and other team members to ensure alignment on loan structures and terms.
- Participate in credit committee presentations, providing detailed analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure all underwriting practices adhere to the bank's credit policies and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all underwriting activities.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of underwriting processes and tools.
Your Skills & Experience:
- 4 years of experience in C&I underwriting, with a focus on middle-market companies.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
- In-depth knowledge of C&I loan structures and credit risk assessment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in financial software and underwriting tools.
Salary : $40 - $55
