The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for gaining new business in our Custom Image Wear department by reaching out to prior customers as well as finding customers that would benefit from our products! They will be responsible for assisting customers who would like to purchase Phelps Custom Image Wear that may call in or walk in to the Phelps lobby. They are responsible for providing exceptional assistance to customers and other members of the team. This entails making outbound and answering calls/emails, entering orders, providing quotes, and assists with order fulfillment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Seek new opportunities for business in Custom Image Wear Department
Research companies and target industries based on their potential interests and needs
Create ideas and deals to appeal to current and new customers
Answer customer inquiries professionally and in a timely manner
Follow up with customers about their order status
Compile a list of sales leads, delegate leads to sales, and provide sales data/guides to sales team
Creating and processing orders in a timely manner
Coordinate requests for rush orders
Coordinate replacement orders with sales and manager
Review pending orders and customer requests to ensure customer satisfaction
Notify customer/salesperson when orders are complete and ready for pickup/delivery
Process customer payments over the phone/email/in person
Manage customer accounts by following up with customers for administrative purposes
Follows up with customers to make sure that they are satisfied with a particular product
Updates all contact information for customers
Maintain inventory of blank products, pre-decorated, and catalogs
Assist sales team with quoting when asked
Help with any customer complaints and resolve the issue as necessary
Assist in answering customer calls and directing to appropriate department
Help with walk in customer requests
Demonstrate basic knowledge of Phelps products, services, programs, promotional offers for Custom Image Wear
Assist with other minor office responsibilities and customer service
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
Excited and eager to gain and develop a book of business
Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong spelling, grammar, and punctuation
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and comfortable working independently
Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or general education degree required
Some College preferred
2 years experience in a position with sales experience
