We are seeking a Cyber Architect specialist to advise on security system infrastructure and provide network engineering knowledge to improve the security architecture. To get an idea of the scale and impact of this work, this client’s enterprise consists of over 600,000 employees, 500,000 devices, 200,000 enterprise email accounts, 200,000 endpoints, 800 firewall sets, and 640 URLs of which 350 require web application firewall protection. This job is located Morrisville, NC with some telework capability. While preferred candidates will live within a commutable distance this is not a deal-breaker! Let's talk.
\n- Advise on security system infrastructure and provide network engineering knowledge to improve the security architecture.
- Develop and document cybersecurity solutions architecture to reduce the threat surface based on standardized methodologies and innovative analysis.
- Communicate conceptual architecture and capabilities to management.
- Guide the design along with the implementation of secure solutions and services across business/IT support areas, driving the successful configuration and implementation of security solutions to reduce security risks.
- Conduct training on topics related to the infrastructure and security posture.
- Support system, and network-related security policy development including regulatory compliance.
- Support change management process to monitor cascading effects and to minimize unintended consequences
- Conduct market research on the latest security best techniques, technology, and industry trends.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or other related field or equivalent related job experience.
- 5 years of security architecture experience
- 10 years of cybersecurity experience
- Knowledge of security standards and best practices, including but not limited to: DISA STIGs, NIST 800, Cybersecurity Framework, CIS Benchmarks
- Experience with security architecture development.
- Experience in cybersecurity technology solution planning, engineering, and deployment, including EDR/XDR, FW, NGIPS, SIEM.
- Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure design requirements: Data center, Cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS, PaaS/IaaS/SaaS), Software defined networks/SASE, Trusted Internet Connections (TIC), Enterprise certificate authority/PKI operations, DNS/DHCP security, DDoS/WAF, Network access control, Wireless network security.
- Ability to work well in a strong collaborative team-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively present technical information to many different levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written/spoken).
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills
- Proficiency on Microsoft Office tools: i.e., PowerPoint
- Required Certification: CISSP
- Experience working in a fast-paced complex system
- Experience in a very large enterprise environment
- Experience with Cisco networking and equipment
- Desired Certifications:
- Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CCIE/CCNP
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Ability to obtain Public Trust (or higher) government clearance
