What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer position at phia?

If you are a Technical Writer with experience supporting cybersecurity-focused activities we'd love to speak with you! This position supports a large government agency; you will work closely with content strategists, engineering project teams, and other agency stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality documentation. This position will be based at our government customer facility located in Morrisville, NC.
What You'll Do
- Effectively manage documentation projects and deliver customer-focused documentation.
- Engage and collaborate with customer feedback programs to address content gaps, respond to direct stakeholder feedback, and promote continuous improvement of the documentation experience.
- Document and memorialize meetings minutes and action items.
- Create and maintain a wide variety of work products to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Use Cases, After Action Reports (AAR), Incident Response Plans, and other technical documents.
- Obtain and organize input from technical staff, commercial advisories/notices, government information products, reviewer comments, and other sources.
- Draft, coordinate, review, and publish advisories, technical bulletins, and analysis reports based on inputs from technical sources. Assist with identifying, analyzing, coordinating, and publishing timely relevant cyber-related content.
- Post and maintain content in document repositories and knowledge management systems.
- Maintain the organization’s communications plan; communicate the plan with internal and external partners, and support its execution.
Requirements
Education Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in technical writing.
- Familiarity with Incident Response, malware analysis, or cyber intelligence is highly preferred.
- Knowledgeable in the use of MS SharePoint.
- Experience with Adobe RoboHelp or similar is a plus.
Security Clearance Requirements
- Ability to obtain Public Trust (or higher) government clearance. Active USPS Sensitive clearance preferred.
