ART Product Owner
Duration: 12 months * Location: Remote work * Rate: $70/hr, W2

- Current/Recent Agile Release Train (ART) experience.
- Experience in managing large scale IT application delivery and quality engineering in a matrixed environment.
As a senior product owner, in the Sales, Underwriting, and Producer Agile Release Train (ART), you will be part of a high-visibility initiative to transform the user experience for Group Insurance clients and customers.
The Agile Product Owner represents the voice of the Group Insurance customer and client at the team level, maintaining and prioritizing the Product Backlog, to ensure that the team is working on stories that maximize business value and deliver necessary fixes and functionality to all end users. This role will focus on supporting the Sales and Underwriting domains within Group Insurance so experience working in this area is a plus. They must have strong business skills and experience working with technology.
We are looking for exceptional candidates to work Eastern Time (EST) with on-shore, near-shore and off-shore members that want to grow a successful career and that wants to be part of an ambitious, highly focused team. Limited travel (15-25%) will be required in the future when teams return to onsite work.

What are the Key Responsibilities?
Ability to partner with Product Managers to decompose Program Epic work requirements and priorities into features.
Ability to create detailed user stories for these defined features.
Full accountability for execution of assigned user stories and associated products/deliverables. Comfortable participating in and supporting development and testing and production support teams.
Engage with Scrum Master and team members on a regular basis to ensure assigned features are fully executed within the prescribed Program Increment. Hold all appropriate Product Owner ceremonies as necessary (PI Planning, Grooming, Demo, etc.)
Engage Solution Architects and System Architects to understand potential impacts and for design solution discussions.
Lead prioritization of work for delivery team based on business value and engagement with stakeholders.
Responsible for user story management, including accurate story descriptions and acceptance criteria.
Comfortable with escalating risks to Product Manager.
Disciplined with scope management; partners with other product owners to assess and evaluate changes for feasibility and impacts on commitments.
Negotiates and manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved.
Builds an environment of trust, collaboration, and openness among peers and other team members. Shares lessons learned, perceptions, and best practices openly with an eye towards continuous process improvement.
Proposes recommendations and adjustments to project delivery and related solutions throughout the life of the initiative.
Communicates clearly with all levels of stakeholders to ensure deliverables are hit. Can articulate tradeoffs and impacts with the big picture in mind to enable strategic and tactical decision making as well as mitigate risk.
