In this role, you have the opportunity to
Provide expertise in the processes and systems used within the Operational Materials Management (OMM) organization.
You are responsible for
As the Subject Matter Expert for the operational materials management function within the all the business groups in Connect Care, this person will be responsible for providing operational support and strategic direction for the tools, processes and systems used within this function. Specific responsibilities include:
- Define tools, processes and systems that are robust and harmonized across the various operational materials management team in these each business group.
- Leader to drive Transformation programs in operational materials management site leaders.
- Ensure compliance to business and quality system requirements working with other functions to understand and implement requirements as required
- Collect requirements, benchmark best practices and identifying targeted processes for improvement enabling efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance gains.
- Identify and drive key improvement projects working x-site and x-functionally
- Identify tools, processes and systems that are critical to be harmonized across the materials teams.
- Interfaces with Corporate on related topics, representing business group requirements and helping to drive improved solutions
- Collaborates across other Philips’ businesses and locations on best practice sharing and improvement opportunities
- Consults with x-functional team members on initiatives/issues that impact the operational materials management team
- Helps to define key performance indicators for the operational materials management scorecard that provide greater insights into leading indicators and operational performance
- Drives Lean methodologies into the operational materials management teams’ way of working
- Supports efficient performance reporting and corrective action
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
- Bachelor/Master of Science degree in a technical or business field. MBA preferred.
- 5 years of Operations Purchasing experience
- Extensive knowledge or ERP/MRP systems (SAP Super User - Preferred)
- Strong knowledge of tools, processes and systems related to the Purchasing function
- Demonstrated skills in process development and management
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and Lean methodologies
- Strong project management skills
- Proven ability to work effectively with x-functional and x-geography teams
- Excellent ability to communicate
- Demonstrated ability to work operational and strategically
- Demonstrated ability to get things successfully accomplished
