What are the responsibilities and job description for the Battery Technician- Nights position at Phillips Pet Food & Supplies?

Position Summary: Responsible for changing batteries on Phillips Pet Food and Supplies equipment.

Hours: Monday – Thursday 10:00 pm – 6:30 am Friday: 6:00 pm – 2:30 am

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Charge, clean, and maintain batteries
  • Change batteries on equipment as required
  • Repair cables and connections
  • Inspect equipment for safety issues
  • Participates in a safety culture that includes no recordable accidents and no loss of time injuries. Always make a safe choice. Ensures proper PPE is used at all times. Watches out for co-workers and warns them when there are any safety issues or hazards. Participates actively in all safety programs and activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One year experience in safely handling industrial batteries and charging equipment
