Description
Phipps Houses is one of the nation’s oldest and largest not-for-profit developer/owners of affordable housing. It is a multi-faceted real estate organization, involved in the development, finance, construction and asset management of new and rehabilitated multi-family housing for low to middle income New Yorkers. Through its subsidiary, Phipps Houses Services, Inc., it conducts residential and some commercial property management, and it’s tax exempt affiliate, Phipps Neighborhoods, provides human services to its development communities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Quarterly tenant security deposit reconciliations,
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of a High school diploma required; college degree or some college credits preferred; and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key accountabilities of the job required
- Must be knowledgeable in accounting or finance.
- Prior bank reconciliation experience required
- Prior Real Estate industry experience preferred
- 2 years practical experience in an office environment experience required
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications (Excel is a MUST)
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
