This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation, management, and support of the DeltaV and other Automation Phlow manufacturing systems. This includes overseeing the Distributed Control System (DCS), Programable Logic Controllers (PLC), servers, workstations, network equipment, software, and security controls.
Requirements:Job Duties:
- Participate effectively in assigned services and activities, including designing, implementing, and administering information and OT activities.
- Manage, upgrade, and oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of information and OT hardware and software.
- Manage and maintain data and equipment security.
- Coordinate and implement technology projects within the OT space.
- Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, and support of the converging IT and OT systems, including servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, peripherals, application development, and telecommunication systems.
- Evaluate existing OT needs and implement service improvements.
- Propose, select, and develop efficient technology solutions in collaboration with business and technology staff.
- Ensure security and backup of all network data and files; design and implement network systems.
- Attend professional group meetings, stay updated on new trends in IT and OT solutions, and incorporate new developments as needed.
- Develop, maintain, and implement business processes.
- Act as the key OT liaison for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in maintaining 24/7 availability of services and systems in our production environment to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Respond to emergencies and lead mitigation and resolution processes.
- Develop internal documentation for key systems and services.
- Proactively monitor and audit system health and availability.
- Participate in scalability and growth decisions.
- Assist the engineering team in troubleshooting complex issues.
Experience & Qualifications
· 5 years of experience with process automation/control applications and HMI software applications (DeltaV, Rockwell, Honeywell).
· 5 years of experience supporting enterprise-level technology operations and services, including managing lifecycle, maintenance, and upgrades of network technologies.
· 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
· BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
· Strong communication skills at both conceptual and practical levels.
· Highly motivated and self-starting.
· Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management Processes.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently and within a team.
· Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
· Recent experience with on-call duties in a critical production environment.
