What are the responsibilities and job description for the Events Specialist position at Phoenix Contact?
Job Summary
The Events Specialist will be responsible for executing the tactical and logistical requirements of external and internal events and tradeshows at Phoenix Contact USA Inc.
Key Responsibilities
- Assists events services team in the staging of each event, from the planning and development stages through set-up, execution and post-event wrap-up
- Arranges all details for logistical support of tradeshows and events, i.e., reserving venue and vendor services, pre-and post-event logistics, shipping/transportation, on-site event staffing, and all other related tasks
- Submits, maintains and tracks invoices, ensures payment due dates are met, processes invoices, and prepares expense reporting
- Pro-actively communicates all show and event details to stakeholders and team members
- Arranges hotel accommodations and transportation, completes registration for event staff, and prepares name badges and event credentials
- Assists with event space planning, creation of floor plan, and booth inventory management
- Works collaboratively with the event services team on duties as assigned by the manager
- Other duties and special project work as assigned by the Director of Integrated Marketing and Communications
Must-Have Qualifications
- Degree in Events Management or Hospitality, or equivalent professional experience
- 3 – 5 years of experience in event execution in a tradeshow environment
- Ability to manage tactical and logistical aspects of tradeshow and event planning and set-up

Must Be Able To…
- Sit and stand for extended periods (2-4 hours at a time)
- Work on a computer for extended periods (up to 4 hours at a time)
- Have a valid PA driver’s license
- Travel by air
- Communicate effectively in English
- Lift 25 lbs.
