We are seeking accomplished Materials Review Board (MRB) Clinic Lead to serve as a functional head for the Quality Clinic and take a hands-on approach in inspecting and evaluating parts for acceptability, disposition, and rework, including corrective actions, and customer submittals. You must feel comfortable in an environment where high complex geometry, close tolerance products are being machined using advanced manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Functionally lead the Quality Clinic, including reviewing and dispositioning nonconforming material.
- Lead and assist on internal, customer, and supplier corrective actions.
- Lead of the corrective action board.
- Interface with customers and suppliers on quality issues. Submit deviation requests to customers.
- Become the main point of contact with suppliers on quality issues.
- Interpret engineering drawings and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and capability requirements.
- Work with Engineering and shop floor personnel to rework non-conforming products.
- Work within ERP system to create Rework sequences.
- Interconnect with the Production/Shop Floor management personnel on quality issues and corrective actions.
- Maintains positive, teaming relationship with internal and external customers, as well as co-workers.
- Assist with other Inspection Department functions as required.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Inspection experience is a plus.
- Machining experience is a plus.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 5 years of Manufacturing and Quality Control experience in Aerospace or other complex manufacturing industry with exacting/demanding requirements.
- Experience with quality management systems (QMS) compliant with AS9100D.
- Clarity of GD&T and blueprint reading.
- Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
Formal Qualifications
- Work experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to work independently and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office applications. I.e., Excel, Word, Outlook, Access.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Must be very self-motivated.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the ability to bend and climb.
- Must have the ability to lift 70 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
