Our future Creative Director, Copy is a great storyteller and natural leader. You'll be a working manager, writing your own copy for some projects while inspiring and directing junior talent on others. This person will be responsible for leading the brand voice, tone and copy as well as inspiring and fostering the best collaboration between creative talent and cross-department.
In this role, you will:
- Conceptualize, write, and edit persuasive copy for cross-channel campaign assets, including sales sheets, case studies, thought leadership, video/motion graphics, infographics, web copy, social media, and email.
- Oversee the concepting, presentation, and selling through creative internally, which use the power of brand to tie together multimedia channels and customer experiences.
- Secure, brief, and manage freelance writers as needed to deliver projects.
- Be willing to roll up your sleeves and see through the execution of creative ideas from concept through tactical production tasks, ensuring the highest level of quality and adherence to brand strategy
- Work deeply with product marketing to take complex technology concepts and translate them into compelling, succinct, and exciting marketing messages.
- Collaborate with marketers and other practitioners to research topics and develop points of view on issues that matter to our clients; identify and clarify business objectives, solicit inputs, and develop key messages for campaign deliverables.
- Provide leadership, motivation and convey the vision and values of Piano to the world.
- Collaborate with marketers, account managers, strategists, and other creatives to develop creative platforms and channel recommendations that deliver on campaign strategic objectives.
- Understand and incorporate Piano’s content strategy and brand positioning into all content, as appropriate.
- Translate campaign positioning strategies into clear, user-centered messaging platforms that differentiate Piano.
- Effectively present creative concepts and copy to internal teams and stakeholders, incorporating feedback to make the work stronger.
- Coach younger talent, and develop relationships with fellow marketers, help problem solve, and be a team player.
- Be solution-oriented in the face of challenges.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years agency experience.
- Must have Tech industry experience.
- A mix of agency and in-house experience is a plus.
- Excellent portfolio showcasing storytelling, conceptual and executional skills in integrated campaigns. Impeccable writing skills - short to long form, headlines to manifestos, advertising to product sell sheets etc.
- Excited to work in a dynamic, fast-paced culture, with the flexibility to change gears for different stakeholders.
- A positive attitude and capacity for thinking above and beyond the stakeholder’s initial ask.
- Solid presentation skills and demonstrated ability to run a meeting.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
