Pickford Escrow, one of the largest full-service escrow companies in California, is looking for an Escrow Assistant I to join our team at our Pacific Palisades branch in Los Angeles to help drive our thriving escrow business. The Escrow Assistant I provides general office support to the assigned escrow office. May serve as a backup office staff and assist with special projects, as needed.
Responsibilities:

Perform miscellaneous opening procedures: input data into escrow software program.

Send requested documentation to lender.

Open title search for a refinance and resale escrow and obtain “Legal and Vesting” (L&V).

Copy and package escrow instructions and all documents required in buyer, seller or agent opening packages.

Proof read and review for accuracy all documentation before sending.

Properly order demands, beneficiary statements, and homeowner association statements.

Accurately prepare receipts.

Accurately disseminate information from a given file to the appropriate party (i.e. Buyer/Seller/Buyers Agent/Sellers Agent/Lender/Title etc.) as directed.

Print closing statements and prepare closing packages.

May perform daily banking accounting and assist manager in locating errors, filling out manual reports.

Print and copy checks.

Perform any additional responsibilities as requested or assigned.
Required Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

A minimum of one year of previous escrow receptionist or assistant experience.

Knowledge of escrow, real estate, title and/or mortgage business helpful.

Ability to handle multiple line telephone console.

Strong interpersonal computer skills.

Ability to work independently.

Excellent organizational skills with a focus on details to ensure accuracy.

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Position will require approval from the Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI) and EAFC (Escrow Agents Fidelity Corporation).
Wage:
Actual wage is based upon education and experience.
