We are excited to welcome two part-time members (15-20 hours per week) to our small, dedicated team.
**Job Summary:**
We are in search of a knowledgeable and customer-focused Budtender to join us. As a Budtender, your role will involve assisting patients in choosing and purchasing cannabis products that best suit their needs. You will also provide information about various strains and their effects, ensuring a positive and safe experience for all patients. If you are passionate about cannabis and enjoy helping others, this opportunity is perfect for you! Previous industry experience is not required, but a passion for the plant, a willingness to learn, adaptability within the industry, and exceptional customer service skills are essential.
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet customers and welcome patients, delivering exceptional customer service
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Maintain product knowledge and educate patients by staying updated on new strains, products, consumption methods, and industry trends
- Stay informed about current cannabis laws and regulations
- Accurately and efficiently handle cash transactions using a cash register/POS system
- Ensure the store is clean and organized
- Multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict attention to detail
- Maintain online menus and process online orders
- Keep accurate inventory levels and ensure the store is well-stocked
- Process deliveries, label, sticker, etc.
**Requirements:**
- Previous retail experience and cash handling
- Knowledge of cannabis strains, effects, and consumption methods
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and staff
- Reliable and punctual
- Must obtain a Registry Identification Card (RIC), with a $51 application fee
- Must be 21 years or older with a high school diploma, equivalent, or related work experience
- Must be a U.S. resident with a valid State Driver's License
- Must pass a Maine state-required background check
- Must be able to accommodate scheduling expectations, including weekends, evenings, holiday shifts, and inclement weather
