Our Operating Room at Piedmont Newton offers the following advanced therapeutic modalities:
DaVinci XI robotics, Hologic localizer for breast cases,
Management of patients having or requiring procedures in the following specialties:
General
GYN
Urology
Orthopedics
Pain Management
Podiatry
ENT
Pediatric Dental
The OR at Piedmont Newton uses:
Bedside report handoff between phases of care and inpatient units
Quality initiatives such as pain assessment and reassessment, pressure ulcer prevention, infection prevention strategies for central lines and indwelling urinary catheters, etc.
Unit Based Educator to help address competency, onboarding, and learning needs
Charge nurse out of staffing or with limited patient load to facilitate daily operations

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
