What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Analyst - Physician Enterprise position at Piedmont Healthcare?
JOB PURPOSE:
Responsible for assisting Senior Financial Analysts, Finance Director, Executive Finance Director, and CFO with assigned projects within the Piedmont Physician Enterprise Finance department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: (analyst will be assigned to one of the following areas of responsibility)
FP&A:
1. Assists with the Annual Operating and Capital budgeting process.
2. Responsible for the compilation of Survey data and meeting deadlines.
3. Handles the reporting of daily charge and cash activity.
4. Helps prepare paperwork necessary for Capital Committee approvals and Fixed Asset transfers.
5. Works with Senior Analyst to review financial application (EPSI) access on a quarterly basis.
6. Maintains cost center listings and prepares requests for new initiative cost centers.
7. Participates in the compilation of the Monthly Operating Reporting.
8. Assists with financial projects as assigned.
Clinic and Physician Reimbursement/Compensation:
1. Prepares billing statements for Clinic membership, PIP forfeitures, and Community Connect.
2. Posts Clinic payments received and prepare bank deposits.
3. Maintains report of unpaid billing statements and performs follow up with physicians.
4. First level review and approval of physician CME and expense reports.
5. Maintains physician CME balance worksheet.
6. Presents CME and Travel policies at NEO (new employee orientation).
7. Assists Senior Compensation Analysts with routine processing and special analytic assignments.
8. Assists with other department financial projects as assigned.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business area.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
1 year of experience in a supporting financial role, preferably as an Analyst.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working in healthcare preferred. Understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
