Our team is involved in formulating the national imaging guidelines as members of national task forces on current and future practices. With internationally ranked experience and expertise, we are setting the standard of imaging excellence to accurately diagnose and treat both routine and the most complex heart and vascular conditions.
The Nurse Supervisor (RN) manages the day-to-day operations of various areas of Imaging to include off-site locations of the hospital. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, monitoring staff performance, providing staff education, and implementing and directing Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement activities for the department. Participates in department budget preparation and management. Acts as a liaison between customers, technical staff, medical staff, and other departments within the hospital. Able to provide complex nursing care, which includes the monitoring and administering of medications required during procedures. Performs related record-keeping and patient care functions and serves as patient advocate. Ensures proper education and training to staff and patients. Provides supervisory skills consistent with creativity, attention to detail and consistent follow through.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
- Graduate of a Nursing Program
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Five years (5) nursing experience in a hospital (inpatient roles) or clinical (outpatient roles) setting.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- ACLS
- BLS
- Critical care background and previous nursing supervisory experience preferred.
