SUMMARY
The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and communicating of all processes that directly related to the manufacturing process in the plant. This person also oversees the quality of product ensuring client satisfaction, acts as a liaison between the departments and manufacturing, and the customer, and manages the operations within the facility
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Define and implement operations strategy, structure and processes.
2. Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solutions.
3. Participate in strategic planning to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency in alignment with company direction.
4. Achieve budgeted safety, cost and productivity targets.
5. Establish operational KPI targets, drive problem solving and continuous improvement.
6. Build a top performing operational team and instill a culture of accountability, results, continuous improvement and People First.
7. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships, both internal and external.
8. Support engagement ad workforce retention efforts.
9. Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, local and state regulations.
10. When needed, lead capital projects; management resources and investments in capital equipment and technology to achieve results.
11. Analyze and propose methods of sustained productivity increases including staff utilization, capital improvements, sustainability and process improvement.
Manage multiple internal manufacturing departments providing components to the main assembly floor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent work experience
- 12 plus years related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with supply chain management in a sizeable organization
- Prior experience in a manufacturing environment
- Prior senior level manufacturing management experience
