Pierotti Corp. is seeking a motivated individual to fulfill a role as an assistant estimator with growth potential in a fast-paced, high demand environment and industry.
Essential Duties
- Responsible for initial bid procurement requirements including bid bond requests, insurance certificate acknowledgment requests, print and complete bid proposal submission booklets, setup new estimate project folder and bid package templates
- Review bid documents including plans and specifications to fully understand project scope, subcontractor and material pricing requirements including procurement of quotes
- Quantify material and bid items by performing takeoff using company software and organizing in bid format
- Review material and subcontractor proposals for conformance with contract documents
- Assist in project turnover to project manager, project administrator and superintendents including setting up new projects in company system, buyout of materials and subcontractors, long lead procurement, schedule and reviewing project requirements with team
- Attend meetings as required during transition period of new projects

Required education and experience
High school diploma minimum required with a construction or engineering background preferred
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and clean record
Availability for afterhours / weekends when required to meet bid deadlines
Must be reliable, dependable, multitasking abilities and ability to read and interpret contract drawings and specifications
Fluent in English
Medium to advanced computer knowledge

Salary : $42,300 - $53,600
