What are the responsibilities and job description for the DRIVER HATCHERY position at Pilgrim's?
Description of Duties/Qualifications:
1) Must have successfully completed the probationary/trial period.
2) Must have excellent attendance habits.
3) Must have no other disciplinary write-ups within the past 90 days.
4) Must be able to follow instructions, both oral and written.
5) Must have a CDL Class "A" license.
6) Three years driving experience preferred.
7) Must realize the importance of safety and avoid all hazards. Will have to watch for all normal driving hazards.
8) Is at least 21 years old for interstate operation (operating from one state to another).
9) Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.
10) Must by reason of experience, training, or both, safely operate the type of commercial vehicle he/she drives. A minimum of three years is desired.
11) Must be physically qualified and issued a certificate of physical examination by a qualified medical examiner every 24 months.
12) Must complete a application which is in compliance with both Federal and State Regulations.
13) Must comply with Federal and State drug testing regulations as well as any company policies.
14) May be required to take a written and road test as required by regulations.
15) Must furnish his/her employer a copy of their current driving record and certify a list of violations for the past 12 months.
16) Must certify that they hold only on valid operators license.
17) Must meet the requirements of the hiring policy for traffic violations and accident involvement.
18) An investigation must be made into the employment record of the applicant during the preceding 3 years.
